PAUL BARTLETT


Paul Bartlett is a seasoned emerging markets and commodities financier with over 30 years of experience in capital markets and structured transactions across CEEMEA, Asia, and Africa. He has held senior leadership roles at Credit Suisse, Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and VTB Capital, where he originated and executed over $25 billion in financing for commodity producers, sovereigns, and infrastructure assets.

As an independent banker he has structured and led a number of high profile deals including the £4.1 billion take-private of Central Asian minerals producer and a $750 million in structured equity for an APEC energy production project, and numerous financings for energy and midstream infrastructure across emerging markets. His ability to originate and structure capital-intensive deals, particularly where commodity flows are constrained by credit, regulation, or geopolitical risk, makes him an invaluable strategic adviser in the energy space.Paul was most recently Co-Head of Merchant Banking at Javelin Global Commodities, where he structured transactions across oil, gas, metals, and power

BEN FREEMAN


Ben Freeman brings over 25 years of experience in global commodity markets, with deep expertise in physical and financial trading, risk management, and the development and restructuring of trading and logistics businesses. He formerly led the global oil derivatives trading business at Goldman Sachs, overseeing multi-regional risk management and consistently delivering top-tier revenue performance.

More recently, Ben co-headed the oil and gas division at Javelin Global Commodities, where he built trading and operational infrastructure from the ground up and executed physical transactions across oil and gas markets. Ben has advised sponsors and energy companies on funding, physical marketing, corporate development and derivatives trading. Ben’s ability to design and execute commercially viable trading platforms—from initial structuring through to funding, execution, and scaling—makes him a trusted adviser for businesses seeking to unlock value at the intersection of physical markets and financial strategy.
